Why First Aid Training is Essential
In a medical emergency, knowing what to do—and acting quickly—can be the difference between life and death. Every year, thousands of Australians are hospitalised due to accidents, heart attacks, or trauma that occurs in the workplace or at home. According to Safe Work Australia, more than 120,000 serious workplace injuries are reported annually. Prompt and effective first aid significantly improves survival rates and recovery outcomes.
Under Australian WHS legislation, employers are required to provide access to trained first aiders, especially in high-risk environments. Whether it's responding to a cardiac arrest, managing a burn, or dealing with a workplace fall, first aid training ensures your staff can step in confidently while waiting for professional help to arrive.
